However, the situation worsened when he posted a video on social media, insulting MzGee, along with the staff and management of UTV, and extending his harsh words to other media outlets, mirroring the contentious behavior of his confidant, Shatta Wale.
In a surprising change of heart, Medikal retracted his statements and offered a sincere apology. He clarified that he never intended to disrespect any journalist or media house and acknowledged the crucial role the media plays in promoting his career. Medikal expressed regret for his actions, stating:
“I appreciate the media for supporting my work, but I am the type of person who responds if you confront me. Maybe my response came off as disrespectful, but that was not my intention. I am human and make mistakes. I apologize for any offensive words I used, but in the heat of the moment, I was angry. I am not a robot, so naturally, I have emotions. Regardless, I want to acknowledge all the media houses that support me.”
He further added, “I want to sincerely apologize to MzGee, Osei Kwame Despite, Fada Dickson, the team at UTV, and all other media houses and journalists in Ghana. My comments were inappropriate, and I deeply regret any offense caused. I value the work that journalists do and the role they play in the industry.”
