Stonebwoy, and Sadick Assah

Sadick Assah, known as Sleeky, the CEO of Sleeky Promotions, has sparked considerable debate in the lead-up to the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards by strongly advocating for Stonebwoy to win the Artist of the Year award.

Scheduled for June 1 at the International Conference Center, the event has the music community eagerly discussing potential winners.

Sleeky, expressing his views on his X page, emphasized that Stonebwoy’s remarkable achievements and contributions over the past year make him the most deserving candidate.

He argued that awarding the title to anyone else would undermine the credibility of the TGMA.

Stonebwoy, also known as 1Gad, is competing against notable artists such as Black Sherif, Kuami Eugene, Nacee, Sarkodie, and King Promise. Despite recognizing the accomplishments of these artists, Sleeky believes none have matched Stonebwoy’s level of success.

He pointed out that King Promise might be the closest contender but still falls short compared to Stonebwoy’s records.

Over the past year, Stonebwoy has maintained a strong presence in the music industry, consistently topping charts and delivering captivating performances. His influence extends beyond music through significant philanthropic work, reinforcing his role as a leader and role model in the industry.

While other nominees like Black Sherif, Kuami Eugene, Nacee, Sarkodie, and King Promise have also had notable successes, Sleeky contends that their achievements do not eclipse Stonebwoy’s. He believes that Stonebwoy’s consistent excellence and broader impact make him the rightful recipient of the Artist of the Year award.
