Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage has recently opened up about her meticulous preparations for a kissing scene in her first film, “Water & Garri.” The renowned singer-turned-actress disclosed that she brushed her teeth multiple times before the scene to ensure professionalism and make a lasting impression on set.
In a recent interview with BET, Tiwa Savage emphasized the significance of the kissing scene, which was scheduled for her first day on set. Recognizing her responsibility to ensure her co-star’s comfort during the intimate moment, she took extra hygiene precautions to guarantee a seamless and authentic performance.
“The first day on set, I had my kissing scene. I am glad it was my first day because I just went right into it,” Tiwa Savage recalled. “I remember in my dressing room, I brushed my teeth like five, six times because I was like I needed to represent.”

Tiwa Savage, who portrayed the lead character Aisha in the movie, also highlighted the importance of being considerate towards her co-cast, as their comfort level could significantly impact the overall atmosphere on set. Her co-star, Andrew Bunting, who played the character Kay, similarly took hygiene precautions by rinsing his mouth multiple times before the scene.
Despite the initial nerves surrounding the intimate scene, Tiwa Savage expressed appreciation for the supportive and kind nature of the entire cast, which contributed to making her first day on set a comfortable experience.
