Ghanaian music sensation Sista Afia, born Francisca Gawugah, has announced that she has made peace with fellow artist Fancy Gadam after a disagreement in 2022 that caused a rift between the two.
During a candid interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz Show, Sista Afia revealed that she and Fancy Gadam have amicably resolved their differences. The ‘Weather’ hitmaker explained, “We are cool, we have squashed everything. We spoke on the phone and we agreed with ourselves. We have let go as humans because it had already happened.”
The conflict began in 2022 when Fancy Gadam, known for his hit song ‘Total Cheat’, was scheduled to perform at Sista Afia’s concert at the Tamale Sports Stadium. Despite agreeing to a performance fee of GH¢50,000, Fancy Gadam pulled out a week before the event, causing significant disappointment for Sista Afia.

Reflecting on the incident, Sista Afia expressed her initial frustration but emphasized that they have moved past the disagreement. “I was unhappy about the situation at the time, but we’ve both come to understand and let go of what happened,” she said.
While Sista Afia did not promise any future collaborations with Fancy Gadam, she left open the possibility for future interactions. “I can’t promise I will be going up there again but let’s observe as the days progress. I am still in the industry, it might not be my show that might lead me there but let’s just observe and await God’s timing,” she stated.
