Renowned Ghanaian musician Martin King Arthur, popularly known as Kofi Kinaata, has set the record straight regarding his journey to stardom. Contrary to popular belief, Kinaata asserts that his success in the music industry was not due to being discovered by well-known figures such as Castro, Samini, or Dr. Pounds.

In an interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360, the “Effiakuma Broken Heart” hitmaker expressed his gratitude to these influential personalities for their support but emphasized that he was already active in the music scene before crossing paths with them. “The concept of discovery is often overstated,” Kinaata explained. “To discover someone is to find an unpolished talent and help it shine. While I deeply appreciate the contributions of these industry giants, my talent and career were already in motion before our encounters.”

Kinaata recounted his early days, highlighting that when he met Dr. Pounds in Takoradi, he was already a participant in a rap competition which he eventually won. This, he noted, is evidence that his musical endeavors were well underway independently.

Currently, Kofi Kinaata is promoting his latest EP, “Kofi oo Kofi,” further solidifying his position in the Ghanaian music industry. He continues to be a prominent figure, known for his unique blend of thoughtful lyrics and engaging melodies.
