Nigerian music star Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has disclosed that she primarily listens to the music of her husband, Adekunle Gold, and rarely tunes into other artists’ tracks.
During an interview on the ‘Zero Conditions’ podcast, Simi, known for hits like ‘Running To You,’ explained her unique listening habits. She emphasized that her preference for Adekunle Gold’s music is deeply personal, stemming from their marital bond.
“I don’t listen to anybody’s music,” Simi stated. “The reason I listen to my husband’s songs is because I’m married to him.”
Despite her overall lack of interest in most contemporary music, Simi did mention a few exceptions. “I like Post Malone’s first album ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys,’ and I love J. Cole. But generally, I don’t really listen to anybody’s music.”
Even her own music falls into this pattern. “The reason I’m listening to my album now is because it just came out. In a few weeks, I probably won’t listen to it as much as I do now,” she admitted.
Simi’s devotion to her husband’s music highlights the close connection they share, both personally and professionally.
