Ghanaian Dancehall sensation Stonebwoy has his sights set on a long future in the music industry, declaring he has fifty more years to make his mark. Speaking at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) on July 13, 2024, Stonebwoy reflected on his journey and upcoming aspirations, including working with celebrated producer Appietus.
Despite his numerous accolades, including his recent win as Artiste of the Year, Stonebwoy remains focused on his growth. “I am yet to work with Appietus in my career, so I have fifty more years to go. Nothing happens. If I am here to work with Appietus, you can just imagine,” he shared, also recognizing the contributions of producers like Fredima and Mix Master Garzy.

The TGMA, produced by Charterhouse Ghana in collaboration with Telecel, is a prestigious event celebrating the best of Ghanaian music. The awards night, held at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre, brought together key players in the creative industry.
Stonebwoy, along with other winners, received their official TGMA plaques at the event. In his acceptance speech, he expressed his gratitude to the industry for their unwavering support. “I humbly just want to say thank you guys [industry] so much for supporting the Ghana Music Awards. This is the only one we have. For me, if I have to work harder 100 times and win what is deserved 100 times, I think it’s in the right way for Ghana music.”
The event was a grand affair, hosted by Chris Attoh and Naa Ashorkor, and featured performances by notable artists such as Adane Best, King Paluta, Efya Nokturnal, and Kuami Eugene. Stonebwoy’s victory as Artiste of the Year marks his second win in this category, solidifying his status as a leading figure in the Ghanaian music scene.
