Ghanaian musician Nero X has voiced his regret for campaigning for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Nana Akufo-Addo during the 2020 elections.

In a recent appearance on the Zionfelix Uncut Show, the artist shared his disappointment in the current administration’s performance, citing economic mismanagement as a key issue.

Nero X revealed that his initial support for the “4More4Nana” campaign was fueled by his faith in President Akufo-Addo’s leadership. However, four years later, he feels let down by the administration’s handling of the country’s affairs, pointing to the escalating dollar rate as a significant concern.

The musician candidly assessed the NPP government’s performance, assigning them a score of 50%. In contrast, he praised the previous administration under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former President John Dramani Mahama, giving them an 80% rating for their governance.

During the interview, Nero X extended a public apology to former President Mahama and announced his renewed support for the NDC. This shift in allegiance is also reflected in his latest single, “Mahama 4 2024,” which endorses Mahama’s bid for the upcoming elections.
