Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie’s highly anticipated performance at the Station Afrique event in Paris was unexpectedly canceled on August 9, 2024, due to unresolved contractual issues. The cancellation, confirmed by Eagle Plug, the agency representing Sarkodie, has left many fans disappointed.
The Paris performance was supposed to be a highlight of the Africa Fan Zone event at Station Afrique, where Sarkodie was set to showcase his talent to an international audience. However, as the event date neared, it became evident that the organizing agency was unable to meet the essential conditions outlined in the contract signed two months prior.
In a press statement released by Eagle Plug, the agency expressed their frustration with the situation, noting that despite their best efforts to ensure the show went on as planned, the organizing agency failed to fulfill its obligations. The statement highlighted that the agency had remained patient and understanding throughout the planning process, aware of the complexities involved in organizing such a significant event. However, the repeated assurances from the organizers that all issues would be resolved upon Sarkodie’s arrival in Paris proved to be untrue.
