In a heartfelt and revealing interview on the ‘Rants & Bants’ podcast, Ghanaian actress and media personality Efia Odo disclosed a previously unknown chapter of her life a secret marriage that ended in divorce.
The actress, known for her bold and outspoken nature, shared the emotional journey she went through, offering a rare glimpse into her personal life.
Efia Odo revealed that she married in 2019 in a private ceremony attended only by close family and friends. However, the relationship, which began with hope and love, quickly unraveled. She described her then-husband as financially struggling, but she chose to marry him out of love, believing that their bond would be strong enough to overcome any challenges.

Unfortunately, the marriage was plagued by infidelity. Efia recounted how her husband had cheated on her multiple times, often seeking out wealthier women to support himself financially. This betrayal eventually led to the end of their marriage in 2021.
Reflecting on her past decisions, Efia admitted that she was “young and naïve” when she entered into the marriage. The experience has since taught her valuable lessons, leading her to reevaluate her approach to relationships. Now, Efia Odo is firm in her belief that financial stability is essential in a partner, stating, “If he can’t provide for himself, why would he provide for me?”
