Prophet Kumchacha

Prophet Kumchacha, leader of Heavens Gate Ministries, has suggested that men who want to live longer should consider marrying more than one wife.

In a recent appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz on September 14, 2024, the outspoken prophet argued that polygamy is not a sin according to the Bible, countering popular belief.

Kumchacha explained that while the Apostle Paul recommended monogamy, it was simply advice, not a divine rule.

He stated that managing a single marriage can be stressful, and having multiple wives could bring balance and promote longevity in a man’s life. He also challenged any pastor to provide a biblical verse that condemns polygamy.

Drawing on examples from modern churches, Kumchacha highlighted that some of Paul’s other teachings, such as the prohibition against women preaching, are no longer followed, suggesting flexibility in interpreting scripture. His remarks have reignited debates on polygamy and its place in modern society.
