Ghanaian social media commentator Twene Jonas, known for his outspoken views on the country’s political and economic issues, has made a surprising confession about how he funded his move to the United States.

In a recent online video, Jonas revealed that he took out a loan through MTN’s Qwikloan service to cover the costs of his trip.

Jonas explained that the financial challenges he faced in Ghana led him to rely on the loan to manage last-minute expenses before leaving the country.

However, he openly stated that he has no intention of repaying the debt, adding that the harsh economic conditions in Ghana pushed him to seek a better life abroad.

“Before I left Ghana, I borrowed money from MTN Qwikloan for my trip and other expenses. To this day, I haven’t paid it back, and I’m not planning to,” Jonas said in the video.

This revelation has stirred mixed reactions, as many question the ethics of his decision not to settle the loan.
