Popular Nigerian skit maker Nasty Blaq has expressed frustration over the growing wave of criticism directed at music superstar Davido.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Nasty Blaq shared his concerns about the online negativity Davido faces, particularly considering his philanthropic efforts and commitment to helping others.

“The disrespect Davido is getting is way too much sha, man just wants to help people and that’s all,” he wrote, underscoring his belief that Davido’s goodwill should be met with appreciation rather than criticism.

The comedian’s comments come amid a recent incident involving content creator Korty EO, who opened up about her disappointment after Davido’s team reportedly asked her to hold back an interview.

According to Korty, she had secured Davido’s approval to air the interview, only for his team to later change course. Korty expressed frustration, noting that similar situations had occurred with other artists.

In response to these repeated setbacks, Korty urged public figures to consider the demands of transparency if they choose to appear on her platform. “If you don’t want people to see you for who you are, please do not come on my show. Stop wasting my time,” she wrote.

Nasty Blaq’s comments and Korty’s experiences highlight the growing conversation around artists’ public image and transparency, as well as the backlash that can come even when intentions are positive.
