John Dumelo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has extended a helping hand to Gabriel Selasie Doe, a visually impaired student at the Ghana School of Law, by paying off his outstanding fees of GHC10,400.

Gabriel was on the brink of deferral due to his inability to pay the remaining tuition fees. The dire situation had earlier forced him to sell his laptop in an attempt to raise funds. However, Dumelo’s timely intervention provided a lifeline, allowing Gabriel to continue his studies uninterrupted.

The parliamentary candidate shared the news on X, stating: “Visually impaired law student Gabriel Selasie Doe reached out to me through a friend to help him pay the remainder of his GHC 10,400 fees after he had to sell his laptop earlier. By God’s grace, I have fully paid his fees and also given money to get his laptop back.”

Dumelo’s generosity has been widely applauded, with many commending his dedication to supporting education and assisting individuals facing significant challenges.

This act of kindness not only alleviated the student’s financial burden but also reinforced Dumelo’s reputation as a compassionate and community-focused leader.

The support comes at a crucial time, giving Gabriel the opportunity to pursue his legal education without further obstacles. The gesture highlights the importance of extending support to individuals who face adversity, especially in pursuing their dreams.
