With the 2024 Ghanaian presidential election just days away, popular socialite and influencer Efia Odo has sparked conversations with her bold prediction about the country’s next leader.
Taking to her X social media platform, Efia Odo stated her belief that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will win the upcoming elections. She confidently tweeted, “The next president of Ghana is Bawumia.”
Her post quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from Ghanaians. While some applauded her for sharing her opinion, others accused her of being influenced or endorsing the candidate.

Efia Odo, however, was quick to set the record straight. Responding to a critic, she clarified, “I didn’t say I’m voting for Bawumia, I said he’s winning the election. Even if I tweeted Mahama or Cheddar is winning, you would’ve said I’ve taken a bribe.”
Despite her prediction, Efia Odo has not publicly disclosed her voting intentions or political affiliations.
The 2024 elections, scheduled for December 7, will see Ghanaians deciding between major contenders, including Dr. Bawumia of the NPP and former President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
As the nation prepares for the polls, Efia Odo’s remarks add to the ongoing buzz surrounding what is expected to be a closely contested election.
