Ghanaian dancehall sensation Shatta Wale has set the record straight regarding widespread rumors that Blakk Cedi, former manager of Stonebwoy, has taken up the role of managing his career.

The rumors surfaced after Blakk Cedi praised Shatta Wale on social media for giving him the chance to assist during the Freedom Street Concert in Jamaica, headlined by Shatta Wale and Vybz Kartel.

In his post, Blakk Cedi expressed his heartfelt appreciation, writing, “It was an honor to step in and contribute to your vision. Your respect, trust, and love throughout this process truly humbled me.” This public show of gratitude sparked speculation that Cedi had assumed a more permanent managerial role.

However, Shatta Wale has firmly denied the claims. Speaking to JoyNews’ Becky upon his return to Ghana on January 8, 2025, the award-winning musician clarified the situation, emphasizing that Blakk Cedi’s involvement was limited to the Jamaica concert.

“Blakk Cedi was there to support my team during the Freedom Street Concert. It was just a collaborative effort, and I’m grateful for his help,” Shatta Wale stated. “But let’s not confuse things—Sammy Flex is my manager and has been holding down my career.”

He also acknowledged Blakk Cedi’s achievements in the industry, saying, “Blakk Cedi has done great things, and I respect him for that. But nobody should tag him as my manager. My team is intact, and we’re focused on making bigger moves.”

This clarification puts to rest the speculation surrounding Blakk Cedi’s role in Shatta Wale’s camp, reaffirming Sammy Flex’s position as the artist’s manager. Fans can now focus on the dancehall star’s future projects without further distractions.
