Ghanaian comedian and actor Benson Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, has once again spoken about his struggles with depression, revealing the depth of pain he has endured.

In a heartfelt testimony shared at a church gathering, the Kasoa Trotro actor recounted how his battle with mental health led him to dark moments, including contemplating suicide. However, he now believes his survival is proof of God’s existence and urges others to put their trust in Him.

“I have seen death and I am alive today. We give God the glory. I went through serious depression and wanted to commit suicide. If God has delivered me from all my difficulties, then I tell you there is God—believe me,” he passionately stated.

Funny Face further disclosed that his struggles took him through psychiatric hospitals and even time in prison. Despite these challenges, he remains hopeful and determined to keep pushing forward.

“I have seen pain and suffering. There is God, and I have encountered Him. I have been to the psychiatric hospital and spent days in prison. But with God, we are still fighting, and we will be victorious.”

The comedian has faced multiple setbacks in recent years, including public controversies, personal losses, and mental health challenges. However, his willingness to speak openly about his struggles sheds light on the importance of mental health awareness and seeking help when needed.

His testimony serves as an inspiration to many, proving that no matter how tough life gets, there is always hope for a new beginning.
