Ghanaian highlife sensation and newly crowned Highlife Artiste of the Year at the 26th TGMA, Fameye, has successfully recovered his official YouTube channel following a cyberattack that saw the entire account deleted just days before his much-anticipated album release.

The breach, which occurred on May 26, 2025, sparked concern among fans and raised alarms about the potential disruption to Fameye’s music rollout. In a frustrated Facebook post made the same day, he revealed, “My YouTube channel hacked & deleted. I’m sure I’m gonna get it fixed ASAP cos?”

True to his word, Fameye bounced back quickly. On May 27, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the restoration of the channel and show appreciation to those who helped in retrieving it. “Big love to KwameBaahGH. My YouTube account is back & kicking. Hope you ready for the album? Go subscribe,” he shared with fans.

The channel’s recovery comes as a huge relief for both the artist and his supporters, especially with the looming release of his new album—a project Fameye has been teasing over recent weeks.

With hit songs like “Nothing I Get” and “Mansa,” Fameye has built a massive YouTube following and leveraged the platform to connect with global audiences. His channel plays a critical role in his digital reach and music promotion, solidifying his place as one of Ghana’s most influential highlife acts.

Fans are now eagerly anticipating what’s next as Fameye shifts focus back to the music—and his upcoming album release.
