Ghanaian media mogul and entrepreneur Deloris Frimpong Manso, widely known as Delay, has shared an emotional reflection on her journey from hardship to success, encouraging Ghanaians—especially the youth—not to abandon their dreams.

In a recent Facebook post dated May 30, Delay recounted how her life began with little to nothing. She recalled periods of homelessness and days when even a simple meal was a luxury.

“Back in 2004, I started what would eventually become Delay Foods. I had nothing—no home, no stable future, not even food,” she shared. “Today, that same food brand has grown to offer 10 different products. And we’re still building!”

Her story has resonated with many across social media, serving as a motivational reminder that perseverance and self-belief can overcome even the most difficult beginnings.

Delay emphasized that dreams take time and effort to manifest, urging the youth not to lose faith in themselves even when things look bleak.

“Don’t give up. If it’s hard now, that doesn’t mean it will always be,” she added.

Her journey from struggle to success remains a shining example of how far determination and vision can take anyone, no matter how humble the start.
