After much curiosity surrounding S3fa’s departure from Black Avenue Muzik, the label’s CEO, D-Black, has finally addressed the situation—and it’s not what many expected.

Speaking in a candid interview on Zionfelix’s Uncut Show, D-Black detailed the timeline and circumstances of S3fa’s exit, putting to rest the rumors that had been circulating for months.

According to him, S3fa fulfilled her contractual obligations, which were originally set for five years (2017–2022), but she voluntarily stayed on for two more years out of loyalty and a strong working relationship—officially parting ways with the label in 2024.

“There was no fallout,” D-Black clarified. “We had a five-year deal, and she chose to stay longer because of the bond we had. She gave us seven great years.”

D-Black described S3fa as the longest-serving artist under his label and praised her for the growth she achieved during her time with Black Avenue Muzik.

When asked if he believes she’s thriving as a solo artist now, he responded thoughtfully:

“She’s just started on her own… It’s too early to make any judgments. But I’m happy for her.”

With this clarification, D-Black reaffirmed that their separation was amicable and professional, rooted in mutual respect rather than industry tension.
