Ghanaian dancehall artist Addi Self has stirred emotions across social media with a passionate appeal to his former boss, Shatta Wale, asking for forgiveness and a second chance.

In a touching Facebook post shared on Friday, June 13, 2025, Addi Self openly addressed their past misunderstandings and called on the SM President to reconcile. “I bought you a Rolex. I’m bringing it to you with #Shaxi,” he wrote, symbolizing a peace offering to the man who once mentored him into stardom.

Their fallout, which dates back several years, followed an issue involving a song theft accusation by rapper Kweku Smoke. Shatta Wale felt betrayed when the Militants, including Addi Self, failed to support him during the controversy. Addi Self later claimed he was caught in the middle, unsure of how to respond because he didn’t know the rapper personally.

Now, Addi Self seems ready to bury the hatchet. In his post, he reflected on the importance of loyalty and unity, referencing fellow Militant Captan, with whom he remains on good terms. “If me and Captan saaf be cool, then why can’t I be cool with my mentor? It sucks!” he wrote.

Calling himself “the prodigal son,” the “Eddi Worhor” hitmaker expressed his deep longing to be back in the Shatta Movement fold and called on fans to support his plea.
