Prophet Fire Oja, leader of the Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry, has questioned the practicality of a new government policy requiring religious leaders to present their prophecies for official vetting.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, the prophet said the directive would impose financial strain on many spiritual leaders who cannot afford the cost of travelling to the Jubilee House.
“If the government wants us to bring our prophecies to the Jubilee House, they should also provide money for transportation and fuel. Not everyone has the means to go there,” he stated.
The policy, announced by Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, aims to ensure responsible handling of prophecies concerning national leaders, security, and governance. Authorities say it is intended to prevent fear, panic, and instability.
The call comes in the wake of a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of government officials, military officers, and NDC executives, prompting appeals for intensified national prayers.
