Cina Soul has opened up about the disturbing impact of repeated attacks from actor Big Akwes, saying the threats unsettled her family even more than herself.
In an interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, the singer explained that while her music career was not directly affected, the abuse left deep emotional scars. She revealed that prayer became her main source of strength in coping.

“It didn’t affect me as an artiste, it affected me as a person, a woman, someone’s child and a Christian. The number one thing I had to do was pray,” she shared.
She added that what troubled her most was seeing how frightened her family became: “Because it wasn’t the first time—it was the second time. The words and the gravity of the description were scary, and I think it scared my family even more.”
The saga dates back to April 2025 when Big Akwes body-shamed her during a live program over her Did I Lie? album promo outfit. He later reignited the issue in July during a “Kiss, Marry and Kill” segment, where he shockingly described in graphic detail how he would “kill” Cina Soul.
The comments sparked outrage online, with many fans and netizens condemning them as dangerous. Cina Soul has since called on the Ghana Police Service and the Ministry of Communications to take action, stressing that she genuinely fears for her safety.
