The journey to the grand finale of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2025 has taken an emotional turn as two outstanding contestants — Yeli of the Bono Region and Afedziwa of the Central Region — bowed out of the competition during the semi-final stage held on Sunday, October 5, at TV3’s Studio B.
The night’s theme, “Folklore,” brought out the depth of Ghana’s traditions and the strength of womanhood through powerful performances.
Representing the Central Region, Afedziwa stepped on stage as Nana Ayekra Adeboe, the first woman king of Denkyira, paying homage to female leadership in the Akan tradition.
Her storytelling, delivery, and eloquence earned her the Most Eloquent Award, yet low public votes ended her dream of reaching the grand finale. Despite her exit, she leaves an impressive mark with four awards and twelve nominations — a record of consistency and brilliance.
The Bono Region’s Yeli also delivered a gripping act that showcased how the people of Dormaa carried the sacred flame through trials and storms, a symbol of endurance celebrated in the Kwafie Festival. Her storytelling was powerful, but it was not enough to keep her in the competition. Yeli exits with two awards and eight nominations, earning the respect and admiration of fans across the country.

While their journeys have ended, the night also celebrated triumphs. Etornam from the Volta Region stunned judges and audiences alike with her war dance, Atrikpui — now known as Agbadza. Her emotional performance earned her the Best Costume and Star Performer awards, sealing her spot in the grand finale.
Etornam now leads this year’s awards chart with six wins out of twelve nominations, making her the most decorated contestant of the season. She joins Asakia (Upper East), Sika (Western North), Nana (Ahafo), and Adjorkor (Greater Accra) in the final showdown.
The stage is now set for the GMB 2025 Grand Finale on October 19 at the National Theatre, where one of these five remarkable women will be crowned Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2025.
