President John Dramani Mahama has presented a GH¢500,000 cash prize to the University for Development Studies (UDS) in honor of their historic victory at the 2025 FISU World University Games.
The Tamale-based university made history as the first African institution to win the World University Football Cup, an achievement that has brought immense pride to Ghana and the entire continent.
During a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House, President Mahama praised the team for their exceptional discipline, teamwork, and determination that led them to the top.
“This victory belongs to every young Ghanaian who dares to dream and work hard,” he remarked.
