Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has shared a hilarious yet uncomfortable memory from one of his performances in the United States, describing it as the most confusing moment he has ever experienced on stage.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie, the rapper revealed that the strange incident started hours before the show, after he unknowingly consumed a marijuana-infused biscuit.
According to Sarkodie, he and his manager Angel Town arrived at their hotel to find a hospitality package filled with snacks and drinks. Feeling hungry and unaware of what the biscuits contained, he ate some without a second thought.
Shortly after, he noticed his manager behaving unusually, laughing uncontrollably at things that didn’t seem funny. Moments later, Sarkodie himself began to feel disoriented and confused, even struggling to understand simple directions backstage.

The situation worsened when it was time to perform. Sarkodie said his sense of time and sound felt completely distorted, making the music seem unusually slow in his head, even though the audience was enjoying the show.
“That’s the worst performance I’ve ever had,” he admitted, explaining that while the crowd reacted positively, his personal experience on stage felt chaotic and uncomfortable.
Looking back, Sarkodie said the experience taught him an important lesson — that artistes can sometimes deliver a great show externally, even when they feel completely off internally.
The rapper is currently gearing up for his annual Rapperholic Concert, scheduled for December 25, 2025, at the Grand Arena, where fans are expecting another high-energy performance — this time under far more familiar conditions.
