Ghanaian musician Kelvyn Boy has shared a message of gratitude after surviving a road accident that left him with a fractured ankle.
The singer disclosed the incident via social media, posting photos from a medical facility where he was seen in a wheelchair, his injured leg heavily bandaged. Another image showed a scan of the affected ankle as doctors attended to him.
According to Kelvyn Boy, the accident happened at the back of Center Point Mall near Atomic Junction. He explained that a vehicle lost control while reversing and suddenly moved toward him as he stood on the sidewalk. Thanks to the quick reaction of two friends who were with him, a potentially fatal situation was avoided, although he sustained an ankle injury.
Reflecting on the experience, the artiste described it as a close call and expressed deep gratitude for life, noting that things could have turned out much worse.
The injury has caused Kelvyn Boy to miss some scheduled performances. He has since apologized to event organizers and fans, asking promoters to liaise with his management team to reschedule affected shows.
Despite the setback, the “Break It” hitmaker remains determined to honour his remaining engagements before the year ends. He assured fans that he is pushing hard to recover and is ready to perform even if it means taking the stage with extra support.
Kelvyn Boy also urged the public to stay safe and always remain thankful for life.
