The Adenta Circuit Court has granted bail to self-styled doomsday prophet Ebo Noah, who is standing trial for causing fear and panic following a failed prophecy that triggered widespread public anxiety.

The court set bail at GH¢100,000 with two sureties, one of whom must provide verifiable security in the form of a landed property or a vehicle. The case has been adjourned to March 18, 2026, to allow proceedings to continue.

The ruling was welcomed by the defence, which described the decision as fair and consistent with the law.

Speaking to journalists after the hearing, Emmanuel Sarfo, counsel for the accused, praised the court’s discretion.

“Thankfully, the court has exercised its discretion because discretion must always be fair, reasonable, and just.

The court acted in line with our laws and admitted the accused to bail in the sum of GH¢100,000, supported by either landed property or a vehicle,” he stated.

The court, however, cautioned that the bail is conditional, warning that failure to meet the stated requirements could lead to its immediate cancellation.

Both the prosecution and defence are expected to reappear in court on March 18, 2026, with additional time granted for preparation ahead of the next phase of the trial.

Ebo Noah, born Evans Eshun, was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Special Cyber Vetting Team of the Ghana Police Service for causing fear and panic after his prophetic declarations generated public alarm.

He had earlier claimed that God revealed to him an impending catastrophic flood that would destroy the world on December 25, 2025.

The claims attracted intense public attention after he constructed what he described as an “ark” on his premises, which he said would save humanity from the disaster
