Antoine Semenyo continued his fine run of form for Manchester City after getting on the scoresheet in their routine 2–0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday in the English Premier League.

The Ghanaian forward delivered another lively performance at the Etihad Stadium, showing intensity, confidence, and attacking sharpness as Pep Guardiola’s side dominated proceedings.

City wasted no time asserting themselves, breaking the deadlock inside the opening minutes. Omar Marmoush converted from close range after a well-timed assist from Matheus Nunes, setting the hosts on their way.

With control firmly in their hands, Manchester City dictated the pace of the game, recycling possession and pinning Wolves back in their own half. Semenyo was a constant threat, using his movement and pace to unsettle the visiting defence.

His moment arrived midway through the first half. Bernardo Silva threaded a precise pass into his path, and Semenyo made no mistake, calmly finishing to give City a two-goal cushion.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with City managing the game efficiently and allowing Wolves very little space to operate. Although no additional goals were scored, Guardiola’s men remained comfortable until the final whistle.

Since arriving from AFC Bournemouth during the January transfer window, Semenyo has adapted quickly to life at the Etihad. He has now contributed directly to four goals in as many appearances, underlining his positive impact.

His only game without a goal or assist came in the Manchester derby, where he still impressed with his work rate and physical presence.

In total, Semenyo has recorded 14 goal contributions in the league this season, with 11 goals and three assists. Only Erling Haaland and Thiago Igor have found the net more times for City, highlighting the Ghanaian’s growing influence in the squad.

Another assured display from Semenyo suggests he is becoming a key figure in City’s title push, with his energy, finishing, and tactical discipline adding real value to Guardiola’s attacking options.
