As the ongoing disagreement between Kwesi Arthur and his former record label, Ground Up Chale, continues to dominate conversations online, dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale has weighed in with what he believes are practical ways forward.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session on January 22, 2026, Shatta Wale cautioned that public emotions and online sympathy would have little influence if the matter ends up in court. According to him, legal battles are decided strictly by contractual agreements, not by personal struggles or public opinion.

He explained that despite the situation, Kwesi Arthur still has options and outlined what he considers two realistic routes to resolving the issue.

The first, Shatta Wale said, would be for the rapper to reach out to him privately. In such a meeting, he believes he could share valuable insights gained from his long experience in the music industry, particularly on how artists can survive and thrive within complex business arrangements.

The second option, he suggested, would require collective intervention from key players within the entertainment industry. Shatta Wale proposed that industry stakeholders come together to help address the financial and contractual challenges at the heart of the dispute.

Emphasizing the realities of the legal system, he noted that courts rely on signed agreements rather than emotional narratives, urging artists to understand the weight of contracts before conflicts escalate.
