King Paluta Regrets Collaborating with Keche, Calls Their Actions “Disrespectful”

Ghanaian rapper King Paluta has expressed deep regret over his collaboration with music duo Keche on their song My Father.

According to the Sika Aba Fie hitmaker, the aftermath of the collaboration left him disappointed and questioning his decision to work with them.

In an exclusive interview on the A-Z Show with renowned blogger Ameyaw Debrah, King Paluta revealed that Keche, particularly Keche Joshua, publicly criticized him for missing the official video shoot of their song. However, he insists that his absence was due to an unavoidable health issue.

“I Was Seriously Sick, But They Didn’t Care”

King Paluta explained that at the time Keche called for the video shoot, he was seriously ill and confined to his sickbed. Despite this, he still picked up their call to explain his situation, expecting understanding and patience from the duo. However, instead of empathy, he was met with public attacks.

“I told them I was sick. I was on my sickbed, yet I still answered their call to let them understand my situation,” he stated.

What hurt him the most, he added, was the fact that he did the feature for free—without negotiating royalties or a revenue split—only to be disrespected later.

“I Didn’t Take a Penny, Yet They Treated Me Like This”

King Paluta revealed that there was never any financial agreement regarding the collaboration. He featured on the song purely out of goodwill, without demanding a dime.

“I didn’t take a single penny for the feature. We never had any discussion about money or percentages. So for them to turn around and treat me like this was pure disrespect,” he fumed.

“I Won’t Work with Them Again”

The rapper, visibly disappointed, stated that the incident has left a bitter taste in his mouth, and he strongly doubts he will ever work with Keche again.

“I don’t think I can collaborate with them again after this experience. The way they handled the situation was just wrong,” he concluded.

King Paluta’s revelation has sparked discussions among fans and industry players about respect and professionalism in music collaborations.
