Veteran musician Captain Planet believes King Promise could secure yet another Artiste of the Year (AOTY) nomination at the next Telecel Ghana Music Awards — if he delivers another major hit in the coming months.
Sharing his thoughts in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the former 4×4 member emphasized that the spotlight is firmly on King Promise following his impressive wins at the 26th TGMA. The “Terminator” hitmaker scooped four awards, including Best Afropop Song, Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste, Album/EP of the Year, and the top honour — Artiste of the Year.

“If King Promise comes through with another monstrous hit, a repeat AOTY nomination is highly possible. The industry is watching him closely now,” Captain Planet noted.

He further acknowledged that the playing field is still open for other contenders. “This doesn’t only apply to King Promise. All the recent AOTY nominees have a shot next year if they come hard with big tunes,” he added.
