
Mohammed Kudus has once again been recognized as the Footballer of the Year at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards, securing this top honor for the second year in a row. The ceremony, which took place on June 29 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre, celebrated the achievements of Ghanaian footballers, coaches, and teams over the past year.
Kudus, who plays as a midfielder for West Ham United, had an outstanding season. He scored 14 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances, playing a crucial role in his team’s successful campaign in the UEFA Europa League, where they reached the quarterfinals. His exceptional performance on the field, including a memorable solo goal against Freiburg, earned him widespread acclaim and solidified his status as one of Ghana’s top football talents.

In addition to his club success, Kudus made significant contributions to the Ghana national team. During the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, he scored twice, despite the Black Stars’ early exit from the tournament.
