Philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama has pledged to enroll Suzzy Pinamang, the senior high school student who survived a gun attack, in a new school following her successful eye surgery and medical clearance in London.
Pinamang, who underwent surgery in June, returned to the UK from September 10 to 16 for a review. Doctors confirmed that her recovery has been impressive and the procedure was a success.
Sharing her gratitude after the review, Pinamang admitted the experience had been tough but life-changing.
“This has not been an easy road, but I thank God for life and for the doctors who have given me hope again. I am also thankful to everyone who stood by me, especially Mr. Ibrahim Mahama—he’s truly God-sent—and to everyone who supported me with prayers and kindness,” she said.
The Ibrahim Mahama Global Foundation, which has supported her since the incident, says preparations are ongoing to secure a safe and supportive school environment where she can resume her studies without fear.
Pinamang’s story touched many Ghanaians, sparking widespread sympathy and showcasing the power of compassion through Ibrahim Mahama’s continued support.
