Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has shared what he believes makes corporate brands invest in artistes — after his massively successful ShattaFest 2025 concert at Independence Square.
According to the Shatta Movement (SM) boss, discipline, consistency, and hard work are the real keys to attracting sponsorships from major companies.
Speaking during a media engagement at MTN MobileMoney Ltd (MoMo Ghana) on Monday, October 20, 2025, Shatta Wale expressed appreciation to the telecom giant for supporting his flagship event. The meeting formed part of his post-event appreciation tour following the record-breaking success of ShattaFest 2025, which took place on Saturday, October 18.

“Discipline, hard work and how we push the agenda of everything we do. To have a brand like MoMo Ghana partner my ShattaFest shows that the corporate world is watching and always ready to support people like us,” Shatta Wale stated.
The concert, organized to celebrate his 40th birthday, drew thousands of fans who filled Independence Square, making it one of Ghana’s biggest entertainment nights of the year.
Describing his collaboration with MTN MoMo as a “dream come true,” the award-winning artiste revealed his vision to turn ShattaFest into an annual nationwide event, with plans to expand across Africa in the near future.
“We’re all shocked, even I’m shocked about the numbers,” he said. “I believe everybody should be happy now with the turnout we had. With a few more collaborations with MTN MoMo and other affiliations, we’ll make this a yearly celebration.”
MTN MoMo CEO, Shaibu Haruna, who was also present, commended Shatta Wale’s impact and fan power, admitting he was surprised by the size and energy of his fan base.
“I had no clue the kind of following you have. I obviously knew you had a powerful following, but this weekend was extra special,” he said.
With Shatta Wale’s unmatched stage presence and growing corporate partnerships, ShattaFest is already being tipped as one of Ghana’s most influential entertainment events — blending music, culture, and brand collaboration on a grand scale.
