Ghanaian actor and comedian Akrobeto, known in real life as Akwasi Boadi, recently opened up about how his distinctive looks have contributed to his well-being.
In an interview on Ofie Kwanso with Jerry Justice, the veteran Kumawood actor humorously explained that his widely recognized large nose has shielded him from health issues like catarrh.
Akrobeto, who will turn 62 on November 18, shared his secret to maintaining a youthful look despite his age. He credits his appearance to his easy-going personality and philosophy of living stress-free. “I’m very handsome, and I look young because I don’t let stress or pressure get to me. I only do what I enjoy,” he explained.
The Real News host laughed off comments about his nose, saying he even jokingly “curses” those who mock it to keep the fun lighthearted. According to Akrobeto, his nose isn’t just a feature that sets him apart; it’s also the reason he’s never had issues like catarrh. “My nose has so much space that I breathe freely. I’m free-to-air,” he joked, attributing his respiratory health to his unique facial feature.

Akrobeto also shared a funny incident involving Kobby Stonne, a media personality with a similarly large nose, while on a movie set. Though often compared, Akrobeto quipped that his nose is slightly smaller, adding humor to his story.
