Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has officially confirmed that he will not be attending the 2024 Ghana Music Awards UK, an event fans were eagerly anticipating as his debut performance on that stage.
The announcement came through a video posted on his social media platforms earlier today, where the multiple award-winning rapper expressed deep regret over the situation.
“I was looking forward to performing for my fans in the UK for the first time at the Ghana Music Awards. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I won’t be able to make the trip,” Sarkodie stated.

He assured fans that he personally contacted renowned promoter Alordia to communicate the unforeseen changes and ensure the event proceeds smoothly without any disruptions.
Sarkodie also encouraged fans to show their full support for the awards ceremony and promised to compensate for his absence soon.
Scheduled for tonight, November 30, 2024, the Ghana Music Awards UK will still feature an exciting lineup, including Esther Smith, Ofori Amponsah, Akosua Adjepong, Barosky, Kofi Nti, Epixode, and Mr. Drew, among others.
While Sarkodie’s absence is a disappointment, the show remains a must-attend event for music lovers.
