Renowned Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has made it clear that she has no plans to sign upcoming artistes, citing the immense pressure that comes with managing musicians.
In a recent interview with Forbes Africa, the award-winning singer explained that while many expect her to bring new talents under her wing, she does not believe she has the capacity to handle the responsibilities of artist management.

“Everyone keeps asking, ‘When are you signing an artiste?’ Honestly, I don’t think I have the patience for it,” Tiwa stated. “Managing artists can be very stressful. Imagine waking up to find your artiste trending for all the wrong reasons—it’s just too much pressure.”
Rather than signing artistes directly, the Somebody’s Son hitmaker revealed that she is focused on helping young talents in a different way. She plans to establish a music school where aspiring musicians can develop their craft before signing with labels that are better equipped to manage them.

“I do love to support new talents, and that’s why I’m working on creating a music school,” she added. “This way, artistes can get the right foundation before finding a label that truly understands their vision.”
Tiwa Savage’s approach reflects her commitment to the growth of the industry while ensuring she maintains her personal peace and focus on her own music career.
